Does pursuing DevOps make sense?

Hey y'all,

So currently I am in school (now, part time) for computer science as I have recently began working for an MSP (IT) . I have never really thought about this section of the industry as I was more focused on my degree and learning how to code. I got the job through a program at school and was like "it's not exactly what I'm going to school for...what the heck, it beats what I'm doing and I can now have more hands-on experience with technology".

Since working there, I can see myself growing with the company and even possibly IT... but I'm torn because I still have a curiosity about programming and software development....

Would DevOps be worth pursuing?

Gah there are just soooo many options in tech, it's a bit nauseating!
