Recruiter refused to give me a copy of job offer, saying they will give it only if I decided to take the job. Is this normal?

Advice

So I got a job offer. The recruiter met me through Zoom and showed me the different stipulations of the offer through the screencast, clarifying the terms and asking me if I had any questions. I asked if I could decide on this over the weekend (we met on Friday), and she agreed, expecting that I would have a decision on Monday.

Before the pandemic, such offer meetings usually happen in person, and you either decide right there and then, or if you need to take time to decide and they agree, they give you the offer letter, and you take it home. This is the normal operating procedure, right?

So I was expecting the offer letter to come through my email. Moreover, a colleague of this recruiter informed me that they would send the offer through email the previous day (Thursday). This is all normal and according to my expectation. After all, if you are about to enter a legal agreement, you need time to contemplate it without the other party being present, right?

So Saturday came, and no offer letter in my inbox. I sent an SMS, and that's it; she said she will send the offer letter only if I agreed to sign it already? Hence, I really have nothing to reflect on over the weekend.

So is this normal?
