Plastic Pod Mods/Plastic AIOs/Pens for out-and-about vaping is the only sane recommendation now?

I've been carrying a minimalist glass/metal tanks while out-and-about for 4 years. I have only broken about as many(4) glass tanks in the 4 years. Has anyone found that the wear and tear on plastic tanks to be equal if not less than buying a bunch of spare glass for metal tanks?
