"You don't offer anyone anything." What exactly am I supposed to offer?

This comes up often when a ask about dating advice, but no one ever explains what it means (like a lot of dating things). So what does it mean? What am I supposed to offer women?

I just don't understand dating at all and have no idea how others figure this shit out.
