There's been a ceiling leak on a "fixed" claim; the property owners are on vacation and unreachable
I'm not the insured and this is on a common floor but not one anyone stays at. There had been damages there in December, patched up January after being told it would count as wear and tear or lack of maintenance but the insurer did send a team out over two days.
None of my items are affected. The property owners are on post-Covid open ended travel and are unreachable. The deductible is more than I can afford. Is my only option moving things out of the way an noting when this occurred even though it would be past the initial 48 hours if/when the homeowners contact for a claim attempt again?
