Looking for Advice
This was deleted from r/apple, I’m just looking for advice on which new iPhone to get:
As of now I have the 3rd Gen SE. I want and need a new phone (water damage, screen cracks, desire for a better camera, etc).
I’m currently deciding between the 14 Pro and regular 14. I’m more leaning towards the regular 14 as I’ve always purchased product(RED) and the price is slightly less. But I’d love to have a great camera. My job does contain a need for social media pics at times, so it would be used both somewhat professionally and of course, personally.
I’m now gonna list the differentiating Camera specs (in hopes that someone is able to tell me if it’s a huge difference/worth it):
• The iPhone 14 Pro has a Pro Camera System (48MP Main, 12MP, Ultra Wide and 12MP Telephoto) while the iPhone 14 just has Dual 12MP Camera System (Main and Ultra Wide) • The iPhone 14 Pro has Main: f/1.78 aperture, Ultra Wide: f/2.2 aperture, Telephoto f//2.8 aperture VS iPhone 14 which has Main: f/1.5 aperture, Ultra Wide: f/2.4 aperture •iPhone 14 Pro: Second-generation sensor shift optical image stabilization VS iPhone 14: Sensor shift optical image stabilization •iPhone 14 Pro: .5x, 1x, 2x, 3x optical zoom options vs iPhone 14: .5x, 1x optical zoom options (I believe I understand what this one means) • 14 Pro: Adaptive true tone flash vs 14: true tone flash • 14 Pro: Night mode portraits vs 14: N/A • 14 Pro: Macro photography vs 14: N/A • 14 Pro: Apple ProRAW vs 14: N/A
I know I could easily search what all these things mean (I’m familiar with most) but I’m so much more confident in making a decision when someone who is much more understanding/well-versed in these specs is able to give me their opinion. I’m wondering if anyone thinks the $300 price difference is worth these specs.
Thank you for your time!
