Rent and Key Collection

Hi,

I am moving to a new rented property soon. The landlord has given me a date to pay the first rent payment, but the appointment to collect the keys isn't until 5 days after, as this is when their resprenative was avaliable. In all my past properties, the rent was taken on the first day that keys were given, so I wanted to check if this is normal/okay?

I'm confident this isn't a scam, I've spoken on the phone, been to view the property, spoken to the current tenants, and have all the correct documentation. It just seems a bit unusual to essentially lose 5 days of rent.
