Do I go back to the start of I die?

Picked up the game yesterday and accidentally ended up in this tower with 'Harden'.I beat him and a tall dude with a hammer. It was quite challenging to get here for me. If I die do I start at the beginning of the swamp? Is there a way to set a spawn point incase I die?
