Corsair HX1500i USB 3 data cable

Greetings,

I was wondering if the Data usb c cable works If I connect it directly to a USB C inlet in the back of the motherboard (I/O of the motherboard)

If not, please recommend a way to connect it via the USB header on the motherboard as my two USB headers are occupied with pump and a fan hub.
