Meeting for our third date tomorrow, I (26M) want to ask her (24F) where she thinks things are going

So for the past month or so, I (26M) have been talking to a girl (24F) I met on Hinge, and I think things have been going well. She’s smart, beautiful, funny, and we seem to have a lot in common.

Two weeks ago, we met for coffee after talking on the app for a week, and things went really well. There was never really a dull moment, and we seem to have good chemistry (or at least I think so), and this continued last week when we met for lunch. So tomorrow, we’re going to the movies, and then possibly grabbing a bite to eat afterwards, depending on how things are going.

Pretty much, I want to ask her about how she thinks things are going, because I’ve been burned too many times before by putting a lot of effort into a potential relationship, only for it to end in failure. I’m also a little hesitant because on our second date, she wanted to be honest and told me that she had gone on a date the day before, but she didn’t think anything was going to happen there (which I feel is fine since we haven’t been seeing each other for very long and haven’t made a commitment).

However, I’m nervous because I get the feeling that if I ask her, that I’ll scare her away from me and towards someone else.

I know I’m probably overthinking this, but I just want things to work out well with this girl
