Remote start keeps showing error

This past week my 2017 Mazda 3 remote start (Mazda installed) is showing "Er" when trying to start. I haven't changed my regular fob batteries recently. I tried changing the remote start rob batteries but that didn't work. The car will start fine with the push button. I did notice when I was driving a beeping sequence that is new. Any ideas on what this is or how to fix it without paying Mazda to look at it?
