Apparently hydrating yourself is unprofessional

Workplace Question or Advice Needed

About 6 months ago my SD told the fulfillment team (when we had one) that we couldn't "carry personal water bottles onto the floor because it looked unprofessional and that it was unfair to the rest of the team". Didn't make sense though bc plenty others in other departments also carried there's even after fulfillment was told to stop. This was apparently company wide; he even suggested the fulfillment team get together to get a mini fridge to put in the pop up area and that we take water breaks???? Since then we've fallen back into the old groove which made me realize I never even fact checked my SD. What are your guy's store rules and was this ever even true?
