UIC mechanical engineering

Hey so I’m considering UIC for mechanical engineering and I would appreciate it if someone can give me some more insight into engineering at UIC. Some of the questions I have is; how hard is getting internships, what year do students normally get internships, are there any co-ops that engineers can do, how is the course load and do students have opportunities to get help either from professors or from other students, how is job placement after school and are students able to utilize the market of Chicago. Sorry ik that was a lot of questions but if you can answer some of these that would be very helpful thx.
