Head Mesh covering scars on face?

The scars on my characters face seem to be covered up by the cheek area. I had this problem in LE when using RANs new head meshes, but switching back to vanilla head mesh fixed that issue there. For SE I don't believe I have a new head mesh that's not overriding everything. I have the hi poly one with a few presets that need it, except the one I'm actually trying to use. But the Face Part slider doesn't help on any setting. Neither does just removing it.

I'm using Lunari custom race which I don't believe has a special head mesh, and switching to a vanilla race has the same problem anyway. Same with the vanilla head mesh and Enhance Female Head Mesh, however the Freyja - Female Head Mesh Overhaul does not have this problem, but it changes the preset too much and doesn't look good. Expressive Facegen Morphs is the only other thing I can think of to mention.
