Slinger sabo start

Hey guys, was wondering if anyone experienced with slinger builds previously had given thought to this when the rework was announced.

My plan was to start spellslinger, probably using ball lightning, arc, or something similar. I’m planning to augment this with the prismatic burst support (numbers pending), and work into a poet’s pen to do VD or DD (or possibly something else) with slinger.

So was mainly wondering if people think something like this will be a decent starter, and what spells would work best with it? It’s been a really long time since I’ve played slinger.
