How to get metadata for disk 2?

im trying to rip an album using XLD on mac

if I enter the music brainz url for the metadata into xld (its not in cddb) then it always gives the disk 1 track list even if disk 2 is in the drive

either the metadata is broken, I don't know how to use xld properly or my retail cd differs slightly in some way and isn't detected??
