[WeWantOut] 26M UX Designer 24F RBT USA -> Italy

Hi Everyone,

I apologize in advance if this isn’t the correct place to post this question but I just have a question regarding how the jure sanguinis in Italy works and the best way to figure out if I qualify for it. I have a 3rd great grandfather and 3rd great grandmother who were born in Italy and married and migrated to the US somewhere between 1896 and 1900. I found some documents showing they had all their children before they were naturalized so I believe that makes all their children citizens of Italy by birth right no matter where they were born if I understand it correctly.

My main question is there anything that could’ve happened after this point down my family line to prevent me from having citizenship by descent in Italy? I’m not sure if this is something I should let an immigration lawyer handle for me or if I can do this myself, so I would love any feedback on this.

Sorry again if this isn’t the correct place to post this and thanks in advance for your help.
