Some of my headcanons about kinships between characters in the saga

Let's start with the Potters. Euphemia Potter, James' mother, was a Ross, and thus a maternal relative of Minerva McGonagall, perhaps a first, second or more distant cousin. Charlus Potter and Dorea Black, on the other hand, were James' estranged uncle and aunt, and their son, whom I'll call Ethan, was twelve years older than James. I also like to think that the Potters are distantly related to the Abbotts and the Bagshots, with all three families having resided in Godric's Hollow for generations once.
Draco and Luna are distant cousins; Draco's paternal great-grandfather and Luna's maternal great-great-grandmother were siblings.
Wormtail was related to both Frank and Alice Longbottom. On the one hand, he was Frank's cousin by marriage, being his aunt Enid Pettigrew wife of Algie Longbottom, Frank's uncle; and on the other hand, he was Alice's second cousin.
Neville and Lavender were second cousins; Neville's grandmother Augusta and Lavender's grandfather were siblings.
