Has anyone else noticed James seems to be inspired lyrically by Ayreon albums he's been on?

In 2004, James was the main vocal contributor to Ayreon's The Human Equation, about a man who is trapped in a coma. The next year, James wrote the lyrics to Medicate (Awakening), the second part of Octavarium, about a man waking up from a coma.

Then in 2017, James appeared on The Source by Ayreon, about humans fleeing Earth and moving to a new planet. 4 years later, James wrote the lyrics to The Alien, about humans fleeing Earth and moving to a new planet.

I know in the case of the latter, Ayreon wasn't his sole influence, but I find it interesting nonetheless.
