CQB Rifle Worth It?

Was stumbling through the castle and unlocked it but not sure how I feel about it.

It has the same features as the regular sniper rifle but since it's full auto the trade off is low per bullet damage and with only so much rifle rounds to be found and made it seems like it'd be pretty unforgiving to just use either willy nilly or if you have poor aim.

Is it a longer range bossing weapon or just more of a flavoured item to be used sparingly? Maybe even only with the right charm?
