Information or Tip

What are some things you’ve learned to do on the job that would be helpful for newer nannies to know? My top 2-

  1. I never do anything I need a a separate thank you for. There are times it would be easy to do something “extra” to help out, but if I’m going to feel slighted when it’s not acknowledged, I just don’t do it.
  2. I meet passive aggressive behavior head on! If NB is muttering or slamming around, I stop everything and address it. “You seem upset. Is there something different you need me to be doing right now?” Saves me the angst of wondering what I did “wrong” and often is enough to reset the mood.
