The case for Abomasnow

I’m going to start with another play through of Diamond and want to use Pokémon I haven’t used in my countless runs before (ex. No Staraptor or Crobat for my flying type if I want a flying type. No Infernape or Lucario for my fighting type if I want a fighting type).

One Pokémon I’ve always found interesting is Abomasnow. I know it’s a Grass-Ice type with quite a few weaknesses but was wondering how good of a move set it has. Also, is it good in the late game (I know you can’t get til gym 7)? I’m hoping this Pokémon can be my grass type (I’ve used Torterra and Roserade too many times to count)
