Would the giant phantom 2 be a better bike than 970

Im looking for a new mtb, and im deciding between a 2022 scott aspect 970 or the giant fathom 2. The phantom has 130mm travel and the aspect 100. They are similar in price with the phantom being a bit more expensive. Im going to be doing light mtb, through the forest and some city riding aswell, and i heard that 130mm bikes could be alot more comftable but a bit harder to climb with because the geometry?
