AITA for not allowing my friend to ride in my car anymore?
I have a a Camaro convertible. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s my dream vehicle and I worked hard to get it. So I don’t eat or drink in the car, I keep it clean and I take good care of it.
I have a work friend (I no longer work at this place) who needed a ride a few times. No biggie, I’m always happy to help. He was giving me directions and before I knew it he had me in a ghetto neighborhood so he could buy weed. Didn’t even ask me if I was comfortable. I thought he was giving me directions to his house. I was angry but I kept quiet because I can be a bit irrational and regret things I say if I speak when I’m angry.
We headed toward his house. He started packing his weed and spilled it all over my backseat. He then proceeds to toss the plastic baggy and his empty soda can from work out the back of my car bc the top was down. I despise people who litter. It’s gross, unnecessary and if a cop saw that, I’d be the one getting pulled over and issued a ticket. About two days later he asked me for another ride and I told him no. He’s now mad at me because I’m not a good friend if I don’t help someone out when they need it. I chewed him out after that and we don’t speak. He’s now spreading rumors about me at our old workplace that make me laugh. I definitely think he’s the AH here but new input never hurts. So what’s the verdict?
