Performance issues; I have a clue…

Been having FPS problems lately and I’ve discovered something that I’m wondering if anyone can help me with.

So my problem is that after playing for about 2 mins with pretty solid 50-60 fps, I get a constant frame drops about every 5 seconds to about 5 fps. This continues indefinitely. Today while trying to play again I noticed that the fps drop was gone, but my frames were only at about 25-30 fps, but it was very consistent. I realized that my laptop wasn’t plugged in and it was defaulting to the integrated gpu (which is worse than the 3070 that activates when it’s plugged in obviously). I plugged in my laptop and it shot right back up to 60 fps, but the frame drops came back a few minutes later.

So shitty gpu=consistent 25-30 fps, and good gpu=60 fps interrupted every 5 seconds with gamebreaking drops. Is it a driver issue? My drivers are completely up to date but maybe the new nvidia drivers aren’t meshing well with my laptop (2021 ASUS G15 Zephyrus)? Anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: Going to rollback to driver 522.25, will update with results.

EDIT 2: Reverting back to 522.25 did it. The game is actually playable now, although the resting frames aren't as good as they were in the initial playable minutes with the most recent driver. Currently trying to find ways to boost performance because having 60 FPS locked would be a dream.
