I am super sad and in need of your help

So after playing persona 4 I decided to give the fifth installment a whirl. After playing for 37.6 hours (in a week) I reached the fourth palace (Futaba's pyramid). Everything went smoothly up until the last door next to the third safe room labelled the summit. Upon trying to enter the small door opposite the safe room, the game crashes. I tried reloading, leaving the main corridor, going to the velvet room near the entrance to try and change something by fusing some personas, I even tried leaving the palace as a whole and try entering on the next day. Nothing works. Whenever I try to enter the small door the game crashes. I am using a laptop and playing the steam persona 5 royal version by the way.

Is there a way for me to save my save-file and not have to restart the whole progress? Thank you ahead for all of your suggestions.
