Functional, cheap and easy. Stole this idea from another post on here
I will be stealing this as well. I know I have a few self tappers out in the garage somewhere…
If you don’t stop self-tapping you’ll go blind!
Underrated cumment
great!, but why dont just take it off and put in the grill and store it there when the cover is on?
OP ain't spilling grease with a bucket that clean.
Finally a use for all those shitty wrench’s that come with amazon furniture.
I’m so excited!!
I did the same using a piece of a metal ruler. Game changer and don’t know why they don’t come with something similar as standard.
Just used a plastic zip tie
Zip tie gang here
I am having trouble envisioning this. How does the zip tie work?
Love this. I always knock mine off taking the cover off.
My FIL did this. The pavers will never come clean. He blamed me of course for not stowing the bucket, but that's why I have an aftermarket cover with a zipper. Also, it drops for a while after smoking something for a day.
Great idea. It’s literally every time I uncover mine I pull that thing and grease for the dogs.
Used a hose clamp on mine based on a previous post in here. Works great unless it’s cold as fuck outside
I use two strong magnets. No chance of ripping cover.
Great idea. Now how do we keep the dogs from eating the grease when we’re to drunk to remember to clean it out.
Stealing!
Hey! It looks like you posted an image!
If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques used, as it's almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!
*What seasoning did you use?
*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?
*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?
Traeger on!

I use a plastic zip tie. Easy and simple.
How? The topolgy...I can't picture it.
I ran the zip tie through the bottom of the little opening and cinched it closed. It holds the handle in place and there is no issue with heat melting the plastic. It’s been on there for years.
Geez I never examined it close enough to notice there's a hole there from the tab.
Knock on wood my bucket has not fallen off one time in 5 years. Yay for me right?
You’re damn genius Gump…..
Great idea! I gotta do this my dogs always knock it off cause they love that shit.

IKEA tools coming in clutch !
This should be the top post all time on here. Thank you!
I did same with a rectangular strong magnet I got at Home Depot. Worked perfectly.
