It should have been this fixture for years, both clubs campaigned for it given we're either side of the hospital.
And now we're involved it's a sellout. I think the fixture will remain now the AFL sees dollars from this matchup.
North will be much more competitive in a year or two as well. This game could genuinely be a blockbuster in 3 years with our lists imo
Yes the classic only Victorian teams get stand alone games!
Would be weird to have adelaide v gws playing in favour of the Royal Childrens Hospital in melbourne.
Right because that's the only option and the only reason why they should have the only game on a public holiday?
The reason why footy was never played on good friday was because of the appeal, and the concern that playing on the day would take money away from the hospital. North had the idea of playing and tying it in with the appeal.
Let’s goooooo! North probs gonna get scored against left right and centre without McKay and Logue, but at least it’ll be a sell out.
Sucks that McKay decided to suit up for Carlton this week.
Barry’s a bit of a maverick that way. He’s just trying to score more goals for the kids!
time to give it to a big 4 club and move it to the g! /s
did someone say Collingwood vs Richmond Good Friday game
Can't. We play lions on Easter Thursday. A bit much to play the following day also
North have been brilliant in this campaign. Fighting for a more than noble cause. Go baggers
It's a unique marquee game in that the cause is so important that it is actually bigger than the game itself. That's why I love it - it's great for the community.
It's good to see so many games with fantastic attendance this year. A Norf game selling well is particularly good to see. Glad they've gotten the chance to have this marquee game.
It's too bad St Kilda shit the bed so bad in the first Good Friday game, I wish we played well enough to justify keeping that slot (with North)
History has shown that playing in this game isn’t about on field performance.
Good thing it's our home ground where we have an advantage. Hahahieue

ahh that sucks buddy, also the game was 16 fucking days ago, so no problem really
North campaigned for this game for yonks and it is an absolute success. Take it off em!
