For some context my doggy, zafiro is turning 15 this September and she’s always been right beside me. In 2015 i went to college in another city and only came home like 2 to 3 times a year. In 2020 i came back home because of the pandemic and we would stay always together but if she wanted to sun bathe or bark outside she would go on her own, also my brothers were also home so she could pick and choose whom to play with. I went back to college in 2021 and last September i finally came back home indefinitely and I’ve been unemployed, my brothers moved away and my parents work so I’ve been the only one who is all day everyday with zafiro, it’s been a blast honestly but she’s stuck to me like glue whatever she wants to do or wherever she wants to go she wants me to be right beside her, she cries to me until i follow her. I understand it when she wants to go for a walk but she even does it when someone comes home and she wants to say hi. And that dependency has only grown, around September a big dog bit her on the neck, it wasn’t a grave accident honestly she bled a little bit but it was the first time something like that happened and i think she got a little traumatized, since then she absolutely cannot do anything without me, if she wants something she cries very loud (she was never loud) if i go to the bathroom she cries, if a dare leave the house for 15 minutes she cries like i left for months or years. Honestly I’m so worried, i feel like she is so anxious and i don’t know how to help her. She’s never been trained, I got her a kong toy and a lick mat but i don’t think is helping a lot, also i can’t always afford to buy her treats so i can’t always use it. As far as i know she is in good health, she plays, she runs, she has all her teeth and can still see and hear (not as good as before but still good). However i haven’t been able to take her to the vet because of my unemployment situation. So, any advise helps 🙏
