Investment analyst reduces cost of report writing by 99.98%, increasing quality, maintaining productivity - How much are we spending on Dash's development & what are we getting in return?

If DCG dropped only one developer they could afford several dozen GPT4 subscriptions for all remaining ones. Also prompt engineering courses are available literally for free on Youtube and elsewhere.

Here is an article nailing how AI will actually be used, emphasis added by me:

GPT4 Can Replace Jobs By Making the Best More Productive

A senior developer tested GPT4 for programming. GPT4 gave the Terraform script code for a single instance of the Fargate API. GPT4 knows that the code will not scale to 10,000 requests per second. It then describes how to create an auto-scaling group and make the modifications to scale the code with AWS and configure the application load balancer.

NOTE: his prompt was way more detailed than an ordinary person would produce. An ordinary person would not be able to verify the results either. You can make the case for 10x or 100x programmer productivity. A senior developer can become a programming lead or manager guiding the AI prompt requests from the equivalent of multiple programming teams.

The advantage will not be to let people who do not know a topic to play with powerful tools. The advantage is to increase the productivity and capacity of competent people to do more in areas that they understand. The AI tools will uplevel the productivity in areas where you know what can and should be done. You do not want someone who does not know how to drive behind the wheel of a Formula One race car.

I highly recommend all linked videos in that article. They will most definitely blow your mind.

I've had technical discussions with the AI on how to improve Dash and crypto in general. It gave me an outline (including code) on how to use machine learning to identify a dust/spam attack on the network and dynamically increase the fees on the attacker until they run out of money. This was an idea I've discussed on Slack with Evan back in 2017, but ofc it was never implemented.

We (GPT and me) even talked about Dash switching to Proof of Stake without compromising Chainlocks, which depend on PoW entropy right now to form unpredictable Masternode quorums. The solution is to build a trustless, decentralized source of randomness using asymmetric encryption for quorum selection.

Did you know you can paste a URL, picture or even a video and ask for a summary/description? It does not work all the time, but when it does, it's amazing. And all this is just in the free version used by an amateur like me.

Now imagine our OG devs who have been with us since 2014-2016, knowing the Dash source code in and out, start having a technical conversation with the (much much) better premium version of the software. Asking for solutions, improvements, new ideas/innovations and most importantly have it write useful code by simply stating a (highly detailed, well-defined and specific) goal.

Insightful article on how GPT-4 can boost the productivity of skilled
developers! 💡AI has the potential to enhance human expertise rather
than replace it, making us more efficient and effective. As for DCG,
it's crucial to find the right balance between human devs and AI tools
to maximize the potential of #Dash. Let's embrace AI as a catalyst for
innovation and growth in the #crypto space! 🚀🤖

Doesn't seem like a good trade-off. GPT4 may be useful for a dev to bounce ideas off, but they can also bounce ideas off the other devs.

That's not correct.

First of all the AI is able to write subroutines, modules and even entire apps. It can refactor, improve and debug existing code. It can even look for exploits. That's a little more than just "bounce ideas" and it's happening all over while we're wasting time still discussing it.

Further, if you have 22 developers (current DCG dev count) and fire one, each dev still has 20 collagues to bounce ideas with. That's hardly any loss. Coupled with a productivity boost of 10x to 100x as some AI-assisted developers have reported, there is no reasonable argument to not do it, unless our objective is to become obsolete asap.
