Oh-ho-ho my friend. You have virtually NO idea what a proper spaghetti looks like. Here's a fine example for you: https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comments/pq28kq/any_tips_to_optimize_my_oil_setup/
Holy.... I thought mine was bad hahahaha. Clearly I know nothing of spaghetti!
Nsfw? Like Not Spaghetti Factory, Word!
Grats though.
I’m legit impressed you did that one first playthrough… 👏
Oh wow! Thanks so much! I actually thought it was quite a mess, seeing some of the stuff posted here haha. I think I can get about 2-3 rockets an hour from it, which I'm actually shocked at.
Your spaghetti is uncooked. Very straight lines.
Congrats on your first win!
You're right, theres room for improvement here.
And thank you!! It was a blast, might try with biters on now. Mostly just found them annoying, but maybe now that I understand the game a bit more I'll enjoy it. Also might give nuclear a try, kovarex is scary tho :(
Biters. As long as you keep your pollution cloud clear and don't buffer too many items, they shouldn't be a big deal in default settings. Important: Desert start is harder in terms of biters, try to start on a grassy field. You could try biters but with expansion off, as in with RailWorld. You still need to clear them when you expand, but they never repopulate areas your cleared.
As for nuclear, you really don't need Kovarex for power. 1 centrifuge supports a reactor indefinitely, so you can make like 4-6 centrifuges to feed 2-4 reactors, and stockpile some for Kovarex. You mostly need Kovarex for stuff like nuclear fuel and atomic bombs.
Like the other commenter says, kovarex isn’t necessary. But that’s just more reason to give it a shot! If it gets clogged, nothing bad will happen (unless you run out of storage for the dark green 538 stuff).
