Destiny Asks The Question "Is it fair that people have to grapple with these existential questions?" - Well, They will Likely HAVE To.
This is about AI.
In his recent conversation with Aella:

(Sorry, I don't have a timestamp for the paraphrase).
IMO, the answer is most emphatically "No."
But, also IMO, there's never been a more pivotal moment for the most intellectually coddled of us to face that so-called "abyss".
I feel the anomic and existential dread IS coming alongside this AI advancement and it's coming for EVERYONE - both Liberal AND Conservative. Those that are ill-weaponed and lack the requisite intellectual resiliency to handle the coming normlessness and anxieties that come with fearing the unknown - I suspect will either retreat to Luddite enclaves or become somatopsychicaly dysfunctional.
Either way, they won't be relevant to what I believe is coming in the near future.
Here's a quick video where I briefly talk about what I dislike about some of the discourse surrounding AI:

I really think this discussion needs to be more front-and-center, everywhere, so it's not some ignis fatuus for the average person when it eventually pops up in media discussions, or if they start to experience it themselves. Most people are not paying much attention to the geometric advancement of AI and they don't know that such existential pits even exists but are holes that can be potentially climbed out of using directed, rational thinking. They are almost completely new to these kinds of conversations.
"The Matrix" and its sequels, T2, etc. were just a slick action films for the average person, not things worth actually contemplating as warnings of the coming future.
Maybe I'm wrong - I'm just an idiot nobody - but I'm just not hearing these discussions happen enough outside strictly AI focused enclaves and with too many of the discussions that DO happen - they seem to severely downplay the potential of ChatGPT and the existential elements surrounding that (though, with the rise of GPT-4 that has started to change quite a bit, admittedly).
