Elliott Sadler 2003 Talladega flip has some absolutely insane camera work. Definitely peak NASCAR production compared to now, where they didn’t even catch Larsons huge barrel roll down the backstretch a few years ago. This is still one of my favorite NASCAR shots.
It looks like a video game. Insane
V I D E O G A M E M O V E
Pre-Chastain
Yeah fr, I thought it was NR2003 for a sec
Maybe 2003 just looked like that? My personal theory is that the '70s were just a yellower reality.

Kurt Busch's #97, Rusty in the Blue Deuce, Jeff Gordon's flames, Mark Martin's 6, and Rocket Newman in the #12 Dodge going five fuckin' wide. What a great photo.
And the X-pipe under the car.
Perfection.
Bring back the x pipes
I hope when RFK expands, they bring the #97 back
Every single scheme in that photo gives me major nostalgia. So good.
Elliott Sadler stole that flip from the king on cars. can't even be original smh
That, 2003 Darlington, and the 2007 Daytona 500 are the first three moments I think of when I think of NASCAR.
The look on Joe Gibbs' face after Truex and KFB crashed racing for the lead at Indy.
And that’s exactly why I disagree with the people that don’t want shots of wives/parents/owners on the pit box.
Reaction Shots like that are great.
Reaction shots are fine but NASCAR prefers to show us Bell’s wife with her back turned to us for the last 30 laps of the race.
There must be a reason?
Wonder what RC looked like after AD and Kyle crashed out of the Daytona 500 with 2 to go running 1st and 2nd.
my heart grew three sizes in that moment

How about the look on Gibbs' face, when his team is in Xfinity Series victory lane [Brandon Jones], but the camera cuts to him, and he looks seriously pissed off because it's not his grandson celebrating a victory.
When I saw that, I knew there was a devastating level of toxicity building up in that organization.
this one always comes to mind. I think it might be my favorite nascar still image of all time.
I remember as a kid thinking that was fake and was from Days of Thunder or something
I remember seeing footage of the wreck happening on youtube from a raw feed and Bob Jenkins saying "oh shit"
Lmfao I remember hearing that too! Going back to those old ESPN satellite feeds are so much fun.

Randomly I had a die cast model of that exact car growing up. I believe Derrick cope drove it
Owned by Bobby Allison
Poor Craven he was never the same
I'm sorry if you're specifically going for TV cameras or just action shots in general
Don’t apologize. This is always appropriate.
Yeah, its this one.
Larson's pit stop at dusk at the 2016 Darlington throwback race.
EDIT: video of said shot here
EDIT #2: 1:08:23 mark if my link doesn't take you to it.
Damn beat me to it. It was the first thing I thought of too. Absolutely poetic shot.
Oh yeah, absolutely cinematic.
Another cinematic one was the one I posted farther down.
Oh yeah that was bananas

That’s a Days Of Thunder shot right there!
I saw this post on Instagram while watching the race and it’s just magical
Jeff Burton watching Scott Riggs flip from an in car at Talladega 2005.
The wildest moment is when Burton suddenly gets hit toward Riggs' flipping car and the force of Riggs' flip demolishes Burton's hood with barely any contact 😅
And BP in the booth
"OH-HO, MAN!"
I love that I can clearly and perfectly hear this in my head
God I miss BP
The Riggs flip was one of the most violent flips I’ve ever seen, like a tornado.
I was coming to say this too.
my god all the camera shots are so beautiful here. no random zooming in, not hyper focused on the leaders, shows the entire field thru the turns.
RIP good fox :(
If Dale wrecks here he probably survives
Inches
Literally a few inches to the right and he gets in it
One of those “what would have been” moments. But as I’ve always said, if it wasn’t for Dale it would have been someone else. NASCAR absolutely refused to listen until Dale died. I wish he would have survived and yet we still arrived at the same safety measures. But Blaise Alexander, Adam Petty, Kenny Irwin Jr, etc. all had to pay the price
If it wasn't Dale that passed here, I think it would've been Gordon in 08
I think the next one would've for sure been Steve Park's pocono wreck with Dale Jr.
I wanna see his roof camera of this wreck. I know he was sporting one because they showed it on the last lap
I wanna see his roof camera of this wreck. I know he was sporting one because they showed it on the last lap
I believe he did get hit in the door but it didn’t mess up the fenders so it didn’t slow him down.
It’s gotta be Joey flying over Bubba’s head at dega.
This isn't on here yet?? Classic, don't care how overrated anyone thinks it is!
I love when the drone cam shows me the backstretch runoff upside down on lap 1
2007 Daytona 500 finish, easy.
This camerawork will always be my favorite. i Wish they brought it back.

Robert Pressley’s flip and landing with the concerned look of Shaggy rolling around in the air always makes me chuckle.
Like zoinks, Scoob.
In car of Dale Jr when Bowyer performed Spingate ahead of him at Richmond 2013. I like how the broadcast showed it after bowyer’s interview saying jr got close or something. Then they cut to shot and it was clear as day intentional
Kurt Busch's flip in the 78
I don't remember this
For some context, Matt Crafton was in a Toyota at the time (2017 Daytona.)
"Toyota, Let's go places"....like space!
"OHHHHHHH my gosh, someone flipped!"
The Camera shot when they panned to Jack Roush after Ryan Reed won at Daytona in Xfinity for the first time his face just looked so out there I dunno what it was it kinda was like he forgot why he was up there or something.
Roush has looked baked like that for years now
Definitely had some senior moments.
Good thing he doesn't drive
Bubba's in car camera when I believe it was Joey that one over top of them at Talladega and it looked like their car is almost grazed each other
Came to say that. They just barely touched and left a little gouge on the 23.

What’s wild is that Bubba went on to win a stage after that lol
