What is the nicest thing someone has said to you which they may not have expected to be taken as a compliment?

A classmate said "you look happy today" and it made me feel nice. I have a large build, a face that looks constantly angry (even when I am not, it's just my resting face) and a loud, somewhat, deep voice. so many people always think i am angry all the time. Not to mentiont that i spend a lot of time on my own. it makes socializing a bit difficult.

so to see/hear someone finally realize i'm just enjoying my own company was a really nice thing. felt like someone finally saw me for me.

Around 2 weeks ago my coworker & I were talking & out of nowhere she asked me if I wanted to have a booty. I said no because I'm fine with my tiny ass booty because I can fit into smaller pants. I then went on to tell her that I wish my boobs were smaller too so that I didn't have to wear a bra evert every day. I know she wasn't expecting that answer because I left her speechless. I have body issues & always wish I could look like a stick.

I guess you showed her that you're the boss of your own booty and boobs!

LOL having a tiny ass white girl butt is not the look these days lmao, but yeah it is what it is. I'll try squats. Sometimes.

But, in all honesty it bothers me that you say you would want to look like a stick though. I want to ask "why" but I also don't want to encourage the worst of those tendencies..

I have body issues. To me looking like a stick with no boobs & butt is how I'd prefer to look.

..why though?

You remind me of Joey from friends.

I thought she was commenting on my love of meatballs and I'm kind of stupid.

However he's also:

- A great friend

- Real

- A passionate dude

- And gets all the ladies.

I'm swiss so I gotta translate it but they said: " frog dr Joëlle, viläch weissr was mir cheu machä." Wiche can be translated to: "ask this guy, maybe he knows what to do." I was born female but I never realy felt like one, I was never sure how to act and was bullied for it. Except for most of the guys in my class, like we never realy were frends but that made me feel like I was still one of them or like they saw me as one of them, to an extend. It was also the first time of me realizing that maybe I don't like being a women.

Between classes in college I would sit at this table with a large group several times a week. I knew some of the people there but not everyone. By nature I can be rather quiet as I like to observe and take in information. One day during a conversation I offered my opinion on the matter. This girl named Sarah across from me says “no offense, but I thought you were like…dumb”. It made me feel good to make a shocking impression on her. Being able to speak and not speaking are two different things lol

Looks like you could use a coffee.

As if that’d fix it, thanks.

"You dont look that stupid". I remember it like it happened yesterday. The first project we had to do in fifth grade, for english, was about reading a long book, and then making a ressume on it. Because I didnt know my classmates yet, I did not know who to pick, so I was left last. One of the kids from the team that picked me because there was no other option said "You dont look that stupid". I was like "Yeppie, a kid thinks im smart!"
