Bought ap325 instead of iap325. Can I still use it?

I accidentally bought an AP-325 instead of an IAP 325 and I dont have an aruba controller. If I buy an IAP-325, will the AP-325 be able to be controlled by the IAP-325 or do I still need another controller?
