6 Video vs 38 Audio Tracks. Is that because it's animated and those video clips represent the final composites of the animation files?

I’ve always wondered with CGI films - is there ever anything from a finished rendered animation to ‘cut’? Or do you cut an unfinished pre render version of a scene and send it off to get finished?

I remember hearing that you’re much more involved at the storyboard stage as an editor for these films. Lots of test cuts with animatics and such and swapping in newer revisions of clips as they come along. With films like these, a few fully finished frames on the cutting room floor can mean a lot of money burnt that could have been avoided.

How do you edit something this big!?.
A little at a time.
That’s incredible!
