You can say that about almost any appliance or tools. But at least you can warm up your IKEA meatballs with this one!!

Don't stand too close or you'll probably warm up your own "meatballs", too...
The holes are too small for the microwaves to escape.
Edit, to the dowvoters who hate science and engineering, microwave ovens operate at a wavelength of about 12cm which those holes are much much smaller than and therefore the microwave energy cannot pass through and harm you if you're on the outside.
