I ran my first two "bigger" games yesterday (12p) and loved it

Session

So these were my fifth and sixth game I ran as ST. First four were lower player counts (7-8) and it was fine and the group liked them but I felt the spark wasn't really there. Finally we all made plans to play again (we are all 30+ yo so time is hard to come by). This time some new people came, including some whom had never played social deduction games before and we ended up being 12 players plus me as ST.

Trouble Brewing of course and we had such a fun time. First game the poisoner sniped the virgin just as they figured out they could confirm someone with it and two people who were both good but everytime we play The Resistance they end up in a shouting match got tested by the fortune teller with one of them being the red herring. As soon as I gave the yes and the FT went back to sleep I danced because I knew the shit was about to go down.

After the first game everyone came up and asked if we could play again immediately. The two people who were all new to this type of game ended up being most in to it.

Good actually ended up winning both games because of some unfortunate last mistakes by evil but everyone said they had fun.

I really love this game so much and can't wait to play again!

I've found 12p to be the perfect number of players. Less than that it's fine but the outsider/minon count gets in the way of what could have been a more interesting game.

Welcome to the game! It gets even better as people learn the roles and metas develop (and then counter-meta plays start happening!).
