Yard Maintenance

Hey all! It's starting to get warm again here and I'll need some lawn work done. Mostly raking some pinecones and mowing. I have a half acre lot, part of which is a slope.

How much would you pay a kid to mow it? Or just general lawn work. It would be a family member if that makes a difference. I got screwed over last year and was left with a broken mower in pieces after someone tried to fix it.

What would you expect to pay for someone off of Facebook or the like to take and mow? I paid way too much at the end of the year last year with what should have been a day or less. The guy was extremely lazy and showed up for an hour here and there for the first 4 days. I had to hound him for two more months to finish the few piles he had left. Then 3 months later he finally picked up the last tarp with yard waste on it. That was a mess.

I don't mind yard work, but between a bad back and a busy schedule it doesn't leave much time.
