Duos matchmaking

What is going on with this matchmaking? I play with a casual friend (PS5) and I’m seriously casual playing on a PS4. Tonight we were matched up to PC players at least 100 levels above us. Many had TTV tags. There were a couple of matches we couldn’t even land without getting completely bodied.
