Busy large hospital for new-ish tech, or small rural?

Jobs/Work

I am still relatively new in the lab field and have had some decent rural experience, but in the past I've worked in really large urban hospital systems doing other kinds of medical work. Both have their plusses and minuses, but still being so new I feel like to be really well trained being in a large, busy lab would be great to gain the skills and proficiency that would serve me anywhere - including back in a rural environment. As I look for a new position I am leaning towards bigger and more complexity, and just wondered what experiences others have had. I love the small rural hospital I am in now but feel like I might be short-changing my skills by not being fluent in more machines, blood-banking, micro, cytology and so on. Even some of the VAs can offer great experiences in clinical settings, and I have worked in them in the past in other capacities.
