Mega-angst GFY or Awakening

Book Request

I know it’s a common and generic ask but I thought I’d give it a try.

Looking for a GFY or bi-awakening book with the most misunderstandings, miscommunication, does he/doesn’t he, internal drama, overthinking, tension, super angst relationship between MCs that you can think of. Where they don’t get together til near the end.

I’m definitely thinking like Hot Head by Damon Suede. I’ve read all of Alessandra Hazard.

Any genre is fine just HEA or HFN please. Thank you very much. (:

For the Fans by Nyla K (forbidden romance, gay/bi awakening, repressed sexuality, trauma) does have a HEA

Agreed. Kyran's struggle was engrossing and I couldn't put the book down. The story is believable and paced well, albeit a bit slow in the beginning. Highly recommend.

I found Unscripted by J. R. Gray to be pretty agonising in a good way. It's a contemporary about a famous star and his unknown co-star, and most of the angst/miscommunication is due to the fact that the famous MC is publicly still with his wife though they've actually separated. One MC also deals with a number of mental health issues so there's a lot of hurt/comfort.

Oh and it has a solid HFN - I decided not to read the second book after reviews said it was like rehashing all the agony of book 1, and I was happy to let it end end with their book 1 HFN.

Something similar but not exactly this is Out of Nowhere by Roan Parrish (book 2 in a series but can be read as a standalone). Super dark and angsty with internalized homophobia, but damn it hurts really good

Also Alessandra Hazard's Straight Guys series -- it's very much what it says on the tin in terms of one character who is certain he's straight. Each book has a different premise but they're all pretty good. Tons of tension and drama in many of them with the does he/doesn't he and stuff.
