First industry job… I know it’s early on but I LOVE IT

I’m about half way through my first week of my industry job. I’m loving it already. Month end close wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. I have a great team. I’m excited that I made this jump! It was terrifying to jump but I’m sooooooo glad I did. I can already feel the stress levels and (likely) blood pressure decreasing lol

On a side note… at my public accounting firm everyone claimed to love me and care about me/my wellbeing. Said I was a great member of their team and appreciated my efforts. I was an overachiever for sure… But I never got an announcement for leaving, any send off happy hour, nothing. Just good luck chats in private. (Everyone else who left got a happy hour and an announcement email…) Just showed their true colors I guess and that you’re replaceable no matter how much effort you put into your job. But I guess that don’t matter anymore! I’m happier now!!
