Small tweaks you’d make to otherwise perfect songs.

“Snow On The Beach” is one of my favourite Taylor songs. I just love the whimsical feeling it creates, my favourite line is “I searched aurora borealis. green. i’ve never seen. someone lit from within”. However, I think the chorus is where the song goes from perfect to great for me. I hate how the chorus says “weird but fucking beautiful”, I think the swear really takes the listener out of that magical other worldly scene and straight into real life; it’s very abrupt. I would change that line to literally anything else, but maybe something that actually describes the snow e.g “pale but shimmer sparkling”. Side note: I also hate how the chorus switches from snow on the beach to snow at the beach constantly.

Another Taylor lyric I’m not too into is “I wanna transport you to somewhere the cultures clever” from Paris. It’s a fun song but idk this lyric just irks me because it suggests Paris culture is more intelligent than others? maybe it’s just a me and my dislike of paris lol

Also on Lana’s new album, I adore the song Sweet. I think it’s so gorgeous and elegant, but I hate the line “if you want some basic bitch go to the Beverley centre and find her”. It’s so pick me/not like other girls, I wish it was changed tbh.
