What will be the counterculture to AI?

As AI continues to disrupt the world as we know it - how will humans react?

There are many pop culture references to this - The Matrix is one example, where humans choose to rebel against the VR reality they are experiencing.

The village is another example where a group secludes themselves deep in the woods Amish style to shield their children from the modern world.

Will we see luddite revolutionaries like the UNA bomber?

Socialist revolutions in the wake of a crumbling capitalist system?

I think we will reach multiple points where masses of people will want to either opt out or overthrow a system that, allthough will be amazing in alot of ways, will also alienate us further from our true human nature.

I think the internet has already alienated us from eachother in alot of ways. With AI this trend will only intensify. I mean people are glued to their screens already - not interacting with real humans in any meaningful way - just imagine what will happen when the content you consume is twice as appealing as today, five times, ten times, a hundred times.
