Are playlists seriously limited to 2000 songs only?

Features & feedback

Looking at the community page, that certainly seems to be the case...

Am I in the minority for wanting more? I'm at 1995 songs...

I know you can have 10k favourites so if anyone knows how to compare my "liked" songs to my playlist, I could just rely on that instead. (There's discrepencies between what's in my playlist and what's liked.)

Edit: If the API is public I'll just try and code something. Probably take longer than comparing 2-3k songs but whatever. 2k songs in a playlist is nothing. Goddamnit!

I agree that an increase would be welcomed, we can vote on this here.

Yeah, I complained about this recently too.

My solution was to just split the playlist into two.

The first playlist has full albums and the second list has everything else (non-complete albums, artist from whom i only have a couple of songs etc.)

Currently the Album playlist has around 900 songs, and the non-Album around 1200

You could try to add all highlighted tracks in your playlist(s) to your favorite tracks by enabling the checkbox on top of each playlist and choose "Add to playlist -> Favorite tracks" from the 3-dot dropdown menu. Deezer should recognise duplicate tracks automatically and ignore them. You can sort your favorite tracks per column by clicking on the headers, e.g. alphabetically to easily find duplicates if they exist. And there is a search option as well.

I think this will be my 'solution'.

My main gripe was that my "liked songs" list had 4.5k songs, of which half of them I no longer have interest in... hence my playlist.

I think I'll simply remove everything from my liked songs, then transfer my playlist to the favourite tracks section like you suggested.

Appreciate it!

Right, removing songs that you don't like anymore makes sense in terms of getting appropriate recommendations as well.

Agreed, though I haven't noticed it causing any issues with Flow. It seems to focus more on my current listening habits than anything else.

Welp. My "Favourite Tracks" is 4.6k songs and when I select them all and click "Remove", it just doesn't do anything.

Couldn't find an adequate solution online either...

Maybe you have found a new bug. Did you try it with less tracks, e.g. only 2k which is the limit for normal playlists? You could also try the search option to find only those artists and/or albums or tracks you want to delete.
