sleeping at an incline and post op binder - how long?

hi all, i had top surgery 17 days ago and i didnt really get much info as to what to do after leaving the clinic. i was only told about the silicone gel/strips once i start scar care and to wear an elastic bandage for a while (i did manage to get a hand me down post op binder about a week post op and its crazy how much better of a job its doing with getting rid of swelling compared to the bandage lol). my main issue right now is that i have no idea how much longer i should keep sleeping at an incline and on my back in general and how long i should wear the post op binder for. for the binder i know different surgeons give different time frames but since i didnt get any besides being told to wear it "for a while" ill take any rough estimate i can get
