How do I buy XRP if I live in the U.S.

ADVICE

Would love to purchase some ripple before the dust settles on their ongoing case with the SEC….BUT, I live in the US and can’t seem to figure out a way to purchase any. I thought about using a VPN, but the exchanges have my US address, and thus won’t sell to me. I also thought about using some of the built in exchanges in some of the more popular wallets but that doesn’t seem to work either for some reason. I’m kind of out of ideas at this point so I ask you all—does anyone have any ideas on how I can procure some XRP? Thanks in advance.

Just another obstacle in the convoluted world of cryptocurrency.

Open a kucoin account. Buy a cheap transactional token like Xlm, send Xlm to ku, trade Xlm for Usdt, Usdt for xrp

Probably be cheaper actually to trade Xlm to Kcs. Then Kcs to Xrp

Basically betting on the case outcome. If it gets ruled a security they will get fucked. The other exchanges are trying to play it safe.

p2p or fixedfloat. You can exchange crypto to crypto at cheap rate using fixedfloat. No KYC needed either.

I second for fixedfloat, really useful for cross chain transactions

You can use a hot wallet (like Exodus) and transfer funds into it then swap for XRP. Fees will be high though.

I actually tried this but wasn’t able to use their exchange to swap for XRP on exodus—they had a number of other coins available for exchange but I didn’t see XRP. Perhaps I did something wrong?

Looks like it works with ADA, ETH and BTC. Just search XRP and select the coin your swapping.

Thank you

Edit: Just did it and it was not as costly as I thought it would be. Thanks again for your help

Use a CEX like Uniswap if you already have crypto

An easy cheap way is to use wanswap and cross wrapped xrp off wan into your own personal wallet on the xrpl. You can swap most of the main coins in to exchange convert to xrp and store in your own wallet..

Download Xumm and use the direct fiat on ramp no exchanges. They have 2 on ramps for USD now Stably and Guardarian. If you buy the Pro membership they give you 3 Tangem hardware cards for long term storage and you get access to threexrp.dev which has a ridiculous amount of insights into the XRPL and all the trading happening. Whale tracking, pathfinding trades, ODL corridor volume.

You can purchase XRP using Netcoins Exchange. Make sure you're using a US-based platform because Netcoins has a website based in Canada.

Yeah but buying a bit imo isnt such a bad choice. Imagine it goes well for them how the coun would pop off.

Of course, putting some money in it is not bad move.

I was advising against all in.
