Science and Tech Podcast Listener Community

Off Topic

Hello! So I’ve been listening to science and tech podcasts for a while now, and its been amazing. However, I have a problem…

So first of all, some background about me: I’m currently an engineering student in uni, dreaming of his own novel invention/innovation in the field someday. And hence, at first I only listened to engineering podcasts. But in my search for my own novel idea that will “revolutionize” the future of the human race (cliché yes, on purpose), I started to realize that perhaps it would be advantageous to be knowledgeable in not just one field but a bit of everything as well and hence I started listening to a more diverse group of science and tech experts (through podcasts). The problem with this is that I understand I will never be able to learn everything about every science branch. But I believe that having a community of people who specialize in specific things, who at the same time, are also interested in even the basic knowledge or news outside of their fields would be really powerful. I believe it could not only provide a way to have really deep conversations about the future of science and tech but perhaps some research collaborations as well. Imagine a community of science and tech enthusiasts all discussing research level concepts of maybe even concepts that literally never exists yet.

So for anyone interested, here’s the list of podcast currently in my list. I plan to share specific aspects of things I’ve learned about these podcasts in the community, and anyone can feel free to share their input. (Also if anyone has thoughts on good podcasts as well, I would greatly appreciate it)

Seems like a fun idea! I used to only listen to startalk until i started my Bsc in applied physics, listen to a lot of different stuff from now on, thx!
