Everyone in honest hearts is all of a sudden hostile?

I have a problem. I was playing honest hearts and I was gonna give Daniel the map. But everyone was saying combat voice lines like an enemy was there but they just pointed their weapons at me and they thought I was their enemy. They all crowded around me. But they did not attack or show up as an enemy. And I’m sure I didn’t kill or shoot anyone on accident. What happened?
